Dr. Dexter Gregory Johnson
M.D., D.D.S., F.R.C.D.(C), Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon
Dr. Dexter Gregory Johnson M.D., D.D.S., F.R.C.D.(C), Dip.ABOMS is a dual degree, Harvard trained, Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. He holds degrees in Medicine and Dentistry. In 1989, Dr. Johnson graduated from McGill University with the Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He earned the Doctor of Medicine degree from New York Medical College in 1995.
Dr. Johnson then trained in general surgery for three years at The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey while also obtaining his medical license to practice in the State of Pennsylvania, U.S.A. He subsequently pursued specialty training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Harvard and Massachusetts General Hospital, in Boston, M.A., graduating in 2001. A past member of McGill University’s Board of Governors, Dr. Johnson has also served on the Admissions Committee evaluating applicants to the McGill Schools of Medicine and Dentistry. He has practiced in Ottawa, Ontario since 2001.
Dr. Johnson is married to Dr. Anita Brown-Johnson, Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at McGill University, and Chief of Family Medicine and Secondary Care Division Director at McGill University Health Center. Dr. Johnson and his wife are proud parents of
Anastasia – a graduate of the American Music and Dramatic Academy/AMDA College and Conservatory of the Performing Arts, New York University Tisch School of the Arts, and Columbia Graduate School of Journalism – and Nicholas, Princeton University’s first Black Valedictorian in its 274-year history.
